The Olene Walker Housing Loan Fund Board has opened a public comment period for the draft 2026 Annual Action Plan and an amendment to the 2025–2029 Consolidated Plan. This is an important opportunity for Utahns, housing providers, advocates, local governments, and community partners to help shape how housing and community development resources are prioritized across the state.
The Annual Action Plan helps guide the use of federal funding through programs such as the Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships Program, Housing Trust Fund, and Emergency Solutions Grants. These resources support affordable housing, housing stability, homelessness response, community development, and other critical needs for Utah communities.
The Board is also seeking public comment on an amendment to the 2025–2029 Consolidated Plan regarding the movement of CDBG, HOME, and Housing Trust Fund program administration from the Department of Workforce Services to the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.
Comments will be accepted from June 29 through July 30, 2026. A public hearing will be held on July 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM Mountain Time at 1385 S. State Street, Salt Lake City, with electronic participation available by Zoom.
