A New Home for Housing Education, Advocacy, and Connection: How to use the upgraded Utah Housing Coalition website

The Utah Housing Coalition website has been upgraded with one big goal in mind: making it easier for our members, partners, tenants, landlords, advocates, and community leaders to find the tools they need, when they need them. Visit the homepage and you will see a cleaner, more useful hub for education, advocacy, research, events, and statewide housing resources.

Whether you are trying to understand a housing bill, find tenant education materials, connect someone to local help, prepare for an upcoming event, or learn more about Utah’s housing landscape, the new website is designed to be practical, welcoming, and easy to explore.

Start with advocacy: local, state, and federal

Advocacy is at the heart of our work, and the upgraded website now makes it easier to follow housing policy at every level. Start on the Advocacy page for an overview of how UHC champions affordable housing, convenes partners, shares updates, and creates opportunities for action.

  • Local Advocacy: Explore local housing partners, community advocacy organizations, and tools for understanding housing needs across Utah’s cities and towns.

  • State Advocacy: Find Utah legislative tools, the UHC bill tracker, links to state housing dashboards, and information that helps advocates stay engaged during the General Session and interim.

  • Federal Advocacy: Connect to federal housing data, national partners, HUD, Utah’s members of Congress, and resources that support federal housing advocacy.

Find tenant, landlord, and statewide resource tools

The Resources section is where the website really shines. If someone is facing housing instability, preparing to sign a lease, looking for mediation, searching for local help, or trying to better understand landlord and tenant responsibilities, this is a great place to begin.

  • Tenant Resources: A helpful landing page for renters who may be facing eviction, housing instability, basic-needs insecurity, lease questions, or questions about where to turn for support.

  • Tenant Toolkit: A practical, easy-to-use guide that helps renters understand rights, responsibilities, leases, move-in and move-out, and where to find help. The page includes English, Spanish, Arabic, and Vietnamese toolkit options, plus video resources.

  • Resources By County: A statewide tool with resources for all 29 Utah counties, including a full spreadsheet and individual one-page county guides.

  • Landlord Resources: A resource page for landlords and property managers, including mediation, landlord education, incentive information, and partner resources.

  • Landlord and Community Partners Coalition: A page for learning about LCPC, which brings landlords, tenants, service providers, and community partners together through education, resource sharing, and monthly collaboration.

Use the Research page to ground the work in data

Good advocacy and strong education should be rooted in trusted information. The Research and Reports Archive brings together affordable housing and homelessness reports from UHC and partners across Utah and the nation. It is a great place to find background data, policy context, talking points, and research that can help strengthen grant writing, public comments, community education, and legislative advocacy.

Stay connected through events

The new website also makes it easier to keep up with UHC’s major events and convenings. Visit the Events page to learn more about Housing Day on the Hill, the Awards Dinner, the Utah Housing Matters Conference, and additional workshops throughout the year.

  • Utah Housing Matters Conference: The largest housing conference in the state and a major gathering for affordable housing professionals, advocates, developers, service providers, public officials, and community changemakers.

  • Awards Dinner: A celebration of leadership, innovation, and impact across Utah’s affordable housing community.

Built for members, partners, and community action

This upgraded website is more than a new menu; it is a stronger public resource for Utah’s housing ecosystem. It helps people find information faster, connects partners to tools they can use in real time, and reflects UHC’s commitment to education, advocacy, and community partnerships statewide.

Take a few minutes to explore the site, bookmark the tools you use most, and share them with your networks. And if you want to go deeper, you can become a member, attend an event, join LCPC, follow advocacy updates, or support UHC’s work as we continue working toward a Utah where every person has a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home.
